Critical Illness with Health Insurance

Posted on April 7, 2008 08:51 by ISpy

I want to know about a product where I can get critical insurance cover with health insurance.I need to know atleast about three comparative products. - Suswagata Dey

Dear Suswagata,

Thank you for posting your query at InsuranceMall.in

We would like to inform you that there is only one product in the market which combines Critical Illnesses with the Regular Mediclaim. The product is Reliance Healthwise Gold, where the Critical Illness cover is double the Regular Medical Cover as a part of the package. So when you buy a 3 Lakh sum assured Reliance Healthwise Gold - you also have a Rs. 6 Lakhs - Critical Illness Cover as a part of it - at no additional costs. To buy Reliance Healthwise - Click Here.

You also have an option of buying a Standalone Critical Illness Benefit cover - Click here to quote and buy

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CRITICAL ILLNESS IN RELIANCE HEALTHWISE GOLD AND STANDALONE CRITICAL ILLNESS PRODUCTS:

There is a major difference between Critical Illness in Reliance Healthwise Gold Policy and Standalone Critical Illness.

Reliance Healthwise - doubles the Critical Illness cover in case of diagnosis of any of the listed illnesses in the policy. So if Mr. X has a Reliance Healthwise Gold policy with a cover of Rs. 2 Lakhs, and he is diagnosed for say, Cancer, his cover for treatment of Cancer doubles to Rs. 4 lakhs. So Mr. X can spend upto Rs. 4 Lakhs on his treatment and claim the same from Reliance.Click Here to buy.

Standalone Cover - A Standalone Cover is a Benefit policy, which is a lumpsum payment made to the customer, on identification of one of the listed Critical Illnesses. So if Mr. X has taken a 2 Lakh Regular Mediclaim and Rs. 5 Lakhs. If he has a total cost of Rs. 4 Lakhs on treatment on Cancer. He would be paid Rs. 2 lakhs by the Regular Mediclaim company and lumpsum Rs. 5 lakhs by the Standalone Critical Illness Company.
