Intro - What is Schengen VISA and Why do you need it?

Insurance I Opener - A Schengen visa, also known as VISA for Europe is a visa issued under the terms of the Schengen treaty. A common Schengen visa allows tourists or other visitors access to the area. Holders of residence permits to a Schengen state enjoy the freedom of travel to other Schengen states for a period of up to three months. Schengen Visa Insurance has been made convenient with the Schengen Visa. However Schengen visa countries require visitors to have health insurance coverage. Schengen travel insurance requirements are specified by the consulates.

All the participating Countries for Schengen VISA

Schengen Visa Insurance common visa allows you to travel to total of 25 Schengen countries including 22 European Union states viz. Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden and three non-EU members (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein), are bound to the full set of rules in the Schengen Agreement (as amended), and have fully implemented its provisions so far.

Why Schengen VISA Insurance ?

The Schengen Visa has made traveling between its 22 European Union member & 3 non-European Union member countries much easier and less bureaucratic. Traveling on a Schengen Visa means that the visa holder can travel to any (or all) member countries using one single visa, thus avoiding the hassle and expense of obtaining individual visas for each country. This is particularly beneficial for persons who wish to visit several European countries on the same trip. The Schengen visa is a “visitor visa”. It is issued to citizens of countries who are required to obtain a visa before entering Europe. Since June of 2004, travelers who are subject to the visa requirement to stay or transit in one or several Schengen countries must demonstrate, in support of their visa application that they are in possession of adequate and valid travel insurance. In other words, without travel insurance, the visa will not be issued.
