ULIPs: Bajaj-Max Advantage vs HDFC-Crest.

IRDA has issued new guideline over Unit Linked Insurance Plan. Following this new guidelines insurance companies have come with new ULIP plans in month of September. Bajaj Life’s Max Advantage and HDFC Standard’s Crest are among the new launches.

Bajaj- Max Advantage

HDFC- Crest

1) Max Advantage which offers highest NAV guaranteed in 10 policy years.

1) Crest comes with two options Highest NAV Guarantee Fund or Free Asset Allocation Option.

 

2) Max Advantage which offers 15 days of look in period which mandatory.

 

2) Crest offers 30 days of look in period to review terms and condition in the policy.

3) Flexibility to select or change premium payment term from 5 to 7 years.

3) Crest’s Premium paying term is of 5 years and policy term is 10 years.

4) Max Advantage come with five investment fund option to choose from.

4) Crest got options of highest NAV or Free Asset Allocation option with option of 5 non guaranteed funds.

5) Max Advantage offers additional Sum Assured in case of accidental death.

5) Crest offers higher of SA (less partial withdrawals) or total fund value to your family in case of death.

6) Max Advantage does not offer minimum guaranteed NAV.

 

6) It offers minimum NAV guarantee of Rs15 at maturity.

7) Plan allows refund of 60% total premium allocation charge as guaranteed addition at maturity.

7) Crest does not allow such refund. Crest has option to invest in Free Asset Allocation.

8 ) Max Advantage of Bajaj does not have One year Assurance option to change exiting product to another.

 

8 ) An assurance that in 1yr if you feels that I bought the wrong product, then insurer help them to select an existing product of company which suits them according to their need at minimum possible cost.

 

These are investment cum insurance plan offers financial security to you and your family.Bajaj’s Max Advantage is limited premium payment non participating individual unit linked endowment plan. It offers highest NAV guarantee in 10 policy years. HDFC’s Crest comes with unique feature which offers minimum NAV guarantee of Rs 15 at maturity which ensures customer will not loose anything irrespective of the market condition.
